Burn Ban In Effect

Posted on Posted in Uncategorized

On November 7, 2016, Warren County Judge Executive Mike Buchanon signed into effect a burn ban for Warren County until further notice.

The Warren County ban extinguishes all open burning in all areas of the county. Burning of leaves and trash are expressly forbidden.  This ban also applies to bon fires, controlled burns and any other open flames.

The county burn ban order stipulates that the ban will be lifted only after sufficient rainfall to abate the hazardous conditions, and levies penalties of $50 to $500 for violation of the ban, as defined in KRS 149.401 and the associated penalties outlined in KRS 149.090.
