New Engine Placed into Service

Plano has received a 2015 Pierce Saber Engine and it was placed into service recently.  The new engine was funded partially from Warren County Fiscal Court and Plano paid for the remainder.  This engine replaced a 1982 engine that was our reserve truck.  We are excited to be able to acquire this truck and use it to provide services to the residents of the Plano Fire District.

Plano Fire Department obtains Class 5 rating with ISO

Plano Fire Department has achieved an improved Insurance Services Office (ISO) rating of a Class 5. Plano was previously a Class 6 (the lower the ranking the better). The ratings reflect the effectiveness of a fire department in a given area when determining home insurance premiums. The ISO rating takes many factors into account. Some of the factors are quality of equipment, response time, water supply, dispatch/radio communications, and training of responding personnel. This new rating is effective April 1, 2016. Thanks to all the firefighters who helped make this possible.
